Choreography

For almost 10 years, I have been a creator of movement across competition and concert dance. My movement and process become sites of exploration and hybridity, illustrating how the body is a site of identity and artistry.

In competition dance, I’ve cultivated a process-driven, collaborative methodology that prioritizes authenticity and artistry. Over the past five years, my choreography has earned Regional and National recognition — including Senior Performance of the Year at Fluid Nationals 2025, multiple Outstanding Choreography Awards, and 1st Place Overall scores at NRG, Fluid, Groove, and Nexus. Whether in solos, duets/trios, or group pieces, I strive to ensure all dancers find a sense of belonging and individuality on the competition stage.

In concert dance, my co-collaborative process embeds improvisation, writing, and discussion as tools for generating movement and deepening thematic inquiry, integrating contemporary and urban street forms to develop a hybrid movement vocabulary rooted in isolation, articulation, and emotional resonance. My concert dance work has been showcased at the University of Utah, Colorado State University, and within public high schools throughout the greater Salt Lake, Arizona, and Los Angeles communities.

Through both sectors, I mentor dancers in exploring personal narrative and embodied storytelling, fostering spaces where identity and artistry intersect.

Quotes on my work:

“Suspended in time, where art becomes an act of survival and where movement writes what language cannot.” (review of MFA Thesis work, where we were | have been | will be written by Ballet Hispánico’s Michelle Manzanales).

Quotes from various judges at Fluid, NRG, Groove, and Headliners:

"Viscerally responsive to physical emotionality”

“Dynamically utilizing space and time to inflict clear storytelling”

“Blending physicality, musicality, and precision with artistry”

"Creating worlds of emotional, real connection on stage"
